The most commonly used & conventional structure for controlling debris flow are check dams and iron fences. The aim of these structures is to reduce the destructive forces of the debris flow by separating the water from the debris. Debris Flow Barriers made out of ring nets are popular and most efficient ways of controlling the mass movement of debris. Debris flow barriers can be constructed with an without post depending upon the length of the barrier with a maximum height of 6m. The debris flow barriers are installed at torrents/channels and can have multiple layers depending upon the retention capacity of the debris. TechFab can assess the site condition and collect relevant data to design & supply the appropriate debris flow barrier.
