The symposium “Scaling Geosynthetics in India: Market Outlook and Strategic Business Approaches” was held on 7th March 2026 at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. The event was organized by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and the International Geosynthetics Society Pune Chapter, bringing together industry leaders, academicians, and professionals to deliberate on the challenges and strategies required to expand the impact of geosynthetics in the global infrastructure market. The event was organized in association with the Indian Geotechnical Society Mumbai Chapter and Indian Geotechnical Society Pune Chapter.
TechFab India was honored to contribute to this important industry discussion. During the symposium, Mr. Anant Kanoi, Managing Director of TechFab India, shared valuable insights on the challenges faced by the geosynthetics industry in India.
With India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure sector and evolving foreign trade policies, the geosynthetics market is witnessing unprecedented growth opportunities. However, the industry must also address critical challenges such as maintaining consistent product quality, ensuring proper implementation of specifications, and overcoming cost-driven procurement practices.
