We are very pleased to introduce “TechGrid Designer Pro”.

TechGrid Designer Pro is a fully integrated and highly automated program for the detailed engineering of reinforced soil walls in which TechGrid Knitted and polymeric coated geogrids are used as soil reinforcement. This software was developed by TechFab India experts in the field of geosynthetics and reinforced soil structures to help our esteemed customers to design reinforced soil walls with improved speed, efficiency and accuracy using different design methods and employing a wide range of facing types.

TechGrid Designer Pro was created with a deep understanding of the problems faced by designers of reinforced soil walls gained through Techfab India’s close involvement in the design and construction of several hundred square meters of reinforced soil walls. A lot of thought and tremendous efforts have gone into the creation of this highly advanced software. It is part of TechFab India’s continuing efforts to provide world-class products and services to our customers.

DESIGN METHODS

Techgrid Designer Pro is equipped to design reinforced soil walls using three of the most widely used methodologies:

BS 8006-1:2010

AASHTO LRFD

NCMA.

FACINGS

One of the great advantages of reinforced soil walls is the option to use a wide range of facings to suit function and dimensions of the wall, site conditions and constraints, ground conditions, environmental and climatic conditions, performance requirements, specifications, service life etc. TechGrid Designer Pro has been developed to provide the designer with a wide range of facing options. TechGrid Designer Pro can design walls with the following commonly used facings:

Precast concrete discrete panels

Precast concrete segmental concrete blocks

Gabions

Wrap-around using welded wire mesh cages

Wrap-around using soil-filled bags

ANALYSIS

TechGrid Designer Pro carries out various checks for stability as required by the three different design methods. These include:

External stability analysis – static and seismic

Internal stability analysis –static and seismic: BS 8006 / AASHTO LRFD / NCMA

Wedge stability check / Compound stability analysis – Static and Seismic

Facing stability – Static and seismic (for segmental block walls)

TechGrid Designer Pro has the facility to export the design files to select programs (GSlope and ReSSA) for global stability analysis. The available design methods, facing types and design methods are summarized in table below:
